Fake Accounts

Fake Accounts reveals Lauren Oyler has a sharp tongue & many of her observations about the absurdity of living life on online are painfully accurate. But her main character (clearly her doppelganger) reminded me of the girl on my junior year abroad who shamelessly admitted she was there to shop. Berlin is wasted on this protagonist; so is NYC. The lesson for all of us is to put the damn phone down.
